Robert Noyce helped build the modern semiconductor industry by advancing the integrated circuit, co-founding Fairchild Semiconductor and Intel, and encouraging a collaborative business culture that influenced the development of Silicon Valley.
Often called the “Mayor of Silicon Valley,” Noyce combined scientific knowledge with entrepreneurial leadership.
