The Idea: Pass along a useful community lesson, resource, or practice while recognizing the people and organizations from whom you learned it.
Why It Matters: Sharing knowledge can help others participate more responsibly, avoid common mistakes, and discover effective ways to support their communities.
Try It Today: Share one practical lesson from a volunteer activity, nonprofit program, community event, or conversation with an appropriate audience.
Make It Work for You: Confirm that the information is accurate, current, and suitable for public sharing. Protect confidential, personal, medical, financial, legal, and organizational information. Credit original sources and avoid presenting a collective effort as your individual accomplishment. Do not use another person’s hardship as evidence of your generosity or publish photographs, quotations, or stories without permission.
